Why I can help you

Two things drive my career: story-telling and space law.

Space law is the “niche” that allows me to think deeply in one direction.

Story-telling lets my curious mind learn about a broad range of topics.

I discovered a love of space law during my Juris Doctor at the Australian National University. I now support the Workshops on the Regulation of Space Activities and Technologies (WRegSAT) through my position as Space Governance Research Officer at UNSW Canberra.

I enjoyed a successful career in journalism, where I was a TV reporter for ABC’s Landline.

As a rural reporter, I connected with people from all walks of life, from executives of multinational companies to local dairy farmers. My warm communication style, genuine interest in other people's perspectives, and diligent research led to great stories and trusting relationships.

A key strength is my capacity to engage with people who have highly technical skill sets, synthesize information quickly, and identify important themes.

Outside of my journalism career, I have continued to develop deep communication skills by building strong relationships across my community. I was on the board of Crime Stoppers Tasmania, am on the Australian Childhood Deafness Community Advisory Group, co-founded a young professionals network, and volunteer at my local surf club.

I take an extreme ownership approach to my work. I problem-solve and strive for a low-fuss, outcomes-focused environment.
